CRLO (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the CRLO mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.

By using CRLO, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in through a third-party provider (such as Apple or Google), we receive the profile information you authorize that provider to share.

1.2 Vehicle Data

You may enter vehicle information including make, model, year, license plate, VIN, mileage, and other identifiers. This data is stored to provide the core functionality of the App.

1.3 Records & Activity

The App stores fuel records (date, quantity, cost, odometer reading), service records (type, date, cost, notes), reminders, and activity history that you create. This data is associated with your vehicles and vehicle lists.

1.4 Photos

You may upload photos to associate with vehicles or service records. Photos are stored securely and are only visible to you and any collaborators you invite to the relevant vehicle list.

1.5 Usage Data

We may collect anonymized usage data such as app interactions, crash reports, and performance metrics to improve the App. This data does not identify you personally.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features
  • Sync your data across devices
  • Enable collaboration by sharing vehicle lists with users you invite
  • Send you reminders and notifications you have configured
  • Send important service announcements (such as security updates)
  • Analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve the experience

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your vehicle data, fuel records, or service history for advertising purposes.

3. Data Sharing & Collaboration

CRLO allows you to share vehicle lists with other users. When you invite a collaborator to a vehicle list, they can view and (depending on permissions) edit the vehicles, records, photos, and activity within that list.

You control who has access. You can remove collaborators at any time, which revokes their access to the shared list and its contents.

We do not share your data with third parties except:

  • With service providers who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, error tracking), bound by strict confidentiality agreements
  • When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of CRLO, our users, or the public

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

7. Children's Privacy

CRLO is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email.
